Creating & Publishing an Assessment

Configure a new assessment, target the right batches, add MCQ / coding questions (manually or via bulk upload), then review and publish.

1. Access the assessment portal

    Log in

    Sign in to the Institution Admin Portal with your faculty credentials.

    Open Assessments

    Select Assessment from the side menu and click + Create Assessment.

2. Basic configuration

    Identify

    Enter the Assessment Name (e.g. Aptitude Test) and an optional Description.

  2. 2

    Categorize

    Select the Category (Aptitude or Domain) and the Type (Practice, Assignment, or Mock Test).

    Continue

    Click Continue to move to audience selection.

3. Assign the audience

    Target

    Select the Institution Category (e.g. Engineering), Department, and the specific Batch(es).

    Advance

    Click Continue to begin adding questions.

4. Add questions — manual creation

Build questions directly in the editor.

    MCQ (Multiple Choice)

    Type the question text, add the answer choices, mark the correct option(s) via the radio/checkbox, and assign the mark value.

    Coding questions

    Provide the problem statement with input/output constraints, select the allowed programming languages, and define Test Cases (input & expected output) for automated verification. Click Add Question to save.

5. Add questions — bulk upload

Add a large volume of questions quickly using an Excel/CSV template.

    Bulk MCQ upload

    Click Bulk Upload → Download MCQ Template. Fill in questions, options (A, B, C, D), the correct answer key, and marks in the specified columns, then use Upload File to import them all at once.

    Bulk coding upload

    Select Download Coding Template (separate Questions and Test Cases sheets). Enter problem statements, allowed languages and function names in Questions; link each test case to a Question ID with its input & expected output in Test Cases. Keep all headers unchanged and upload.

    Verify the upload

    Review the Success/Error Log for any rows that failed formatting. Successful questions appear in your Question Bank / the current assessment for review.

Tip: Always download a fresh template so the column headers match exactly — changed headers are the most common cause of failed rows.

6. Final review & publishing

    Verify

    Review the full list of questions for accuracy in marks and content.

  2. 2

    Publish

    Click Submit/Publish to make the assessment live for the selected batches.

  3. 3

    Track

    Monitor status under the Active or Completed tabs on the dashboard as students finish.
